The Graduate Research Steering Committee is currently accepting new members. This faculty committee reviews applications from graduate students, and in some cases postdoctoral fellows, on internal competitions and external submissions requiring institutional nomination or endorsement. Tenure-track, tenured, or FTNTL faculty are eligible.
Each committee member is asked to serve a two-year term (September 1, 2021-May 31, 2023), with individual members called upon to serve as reviewers for internal programs once or twice per semester, depending on the availability of funds; graduate student teaching awards in late winter/early spring; and institutional limited submissions as needed. In some cases, the full committee may be called upon to review a special program, policy change, or institutional proposal. The workload is manageable, and I do my best to spread out the assignments so that no one is overburdened.
