Kyra Green

Kyra serves as the inaugural Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In her role, she aims to serve three main goals. The first is fostering an inclusive environment where students can find a grounded sense of community and belonging during their Georgetown experience. Second, she aims to collaborate closely with students, faculty and staff across the university in an effort to highlight the essential nature of equity work at every level. Finally, she seeks to provide a culturally informed support system for students as they navigate their graduate education. Whether through DEI open houses, programming for first-generation students, writing workshops or facilitated discussions, the priority remains to create spaces where students can exist in the fullness of the identities and cultures to which they belong.

When not at work, you can find Kyra reading a great book, channeling her inner Effie White as she rewatches Dreamgirls yet another time, or laughing with her family and friends.
