Tuition Scholarship for Georgetown Undergraduates and Alumni

Georgetown University is honored that many undergraduate alumni choose to continue their academic journeys at the university by pursuing a graduate degree. Our “double Hoyas” are unique and valued members of our graduate and alumni communities.

If you’re a current senior or recent alum seeking to deepen your expertise, expand your professional network or transition to a new career, pursuing a master’s degree may be a valuable step.  

Current seniors and undergraduate alumni from the Classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 who enroll in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 are eligible for a 10% scholarship on base tuition for select master’s degrees and a waiver for their program application fee.

Who is eligible?

Georgetown undergraduate alumni from the Classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 who are matriculating in a full- or part-time graduate program in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 are eligible to receive this tuition discount.

Students who were eligible in Year 1 of a multi-year program continue to be eligible for Academic Year 2026-2027.

Which graduate programs are included?

Applicable programs include disciplinary and interdisciplinary graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Health, Berkley School of Nursing, Biomedical Graduate Education, the McCourt School of Public Policy, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and select McDonough School of Business programs. How much is the scholarship?

The scholarship is 10% of the base tuition, applied on the balance.

When is the scholarship good for?

The scholarship provides support during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Am I still eligible for merit aid?

Students are still eligible for financial aid in their programs and schools in accordance with the standard processes for merit aid.

Can accelerated master’s degree students receive this scholarship?

Accelerated students who completed their undergraduate degree and will be continuing on their master’s work in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 are eligible.

I already applied before I knew about the scholarship. Am I eligible?

Georgetown undergraduate alumni from the Classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 are eligible, including if they applied before the scholarship was established.

How do I take advantage of this discount?

The University will automatically verify and approve eligibility upon admission to an applicable graduate program. Once approved, the award will be posted as a credit on your student account.
