Georgetown University announced today that a brand new mascot-in-training arrived on campus this summer and will become the next official 'Jack the Bulldog.'

The six-month-old bulldog was born in January, 2019 in Canada. He later moved to Valley Center, California, where he began his training with breeders and Georgetown parents Janice and Marcus Hochstetler.  The new Jack's caretaker and the Jack Crew, comprising several students who help with the mascot’s daily walks, will introduce the puppy to campus on his daily walks.

The former Jack, whose signature move was skateboarding, is now 6 years old and ready to devote his full attention to rooting for the Hoyas from his comfortable bed. Still healthy, he’ll live out the rest of his life in retirement with his current caretaker.
