All new main campus graduate students are encouraged to attend the Graduate School's New Student Induction in beautiful, historic Gaston Hall (Healy Hall, 3rd floor) at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Georgetown University Deans, the President of Georgetown University, and other key Graduate School and University staff will welcome you to Georgetown University and share important information that will help you be successful during your graduate academic career at Georgetown.
Afterwards, we move next-door to the Bunn Intercultural Center (ICC) Building (first floor) for several rounds of short information sessions about graduate student academic life, social and educational activities, and tips for your success as a graduate student. All main campus graduate students are highly encouraged to attend this important and informative kick-off to their graduate careers at Georgetown.
Afterwards, beginning at 1:00 p.m., all graduate students are invited to the (free) annual "Welcome Back, Jack!" picnic lunch on the lawn outside of Copley Hall.
At 2:30 p.m., those who have reserved tickets in advance will depart the Car Barn (3520 Prospect Street, N.W.) for a graduate student-focused tour of Georgetown University.
Date: Tuesday, August 27, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; free picnic lunch begins at 1:00 p.m.
Location: Gaston Hall (in Healy Hall, 3rd Floor) and then ICC - Intercultural Center for information sessions. Picnic lunch on Copley Lawn.
