Capital BikeShare offers low-cost bike sharing across Washington, DC and nearby Arlington County, Virginia. The bike stations near Georgetown University are just outside the Healy Building gates at 37th and O Streets; at 34th Street and Wisconsin Avenue; and at the C&O Canal and Wisconsin Avenue (just below M Street). ZipCar Car Sharing

ZipCar  (http://www.zipcar.com) provides on-demand, self-service cars by the hour or the day for personal and business needs. Parking at Georgetown

Parking at Georgetown is very limited, and quite expensive, but there are some locations to park on campus. The entrance off of Canal Road, N.W. leads to the Southwest Quad Garage. Parking is approx.. $20/day. Call (202) 687-4372 for more detailed parking information. As off-campus (street) parking is hard to find in the Georgetown area, the use of public transportation is strongly encouraged.  Depending on availability, students living off-campus and outside of the District of Columbia and North Arlington areas may be able to purchase monthly parking. For information about shopping, restaurants, and visitor information in Georgetown and surrounding areas, try these resources:

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The University is served by the G2, D2 and D6 Metrobus routes, and the nearby Rosslyn and Dupont Circle Metro Stations.

Check the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) or “Metro” website for detailed information about bus and subway schedules and fares.

The closest Metrorail stops are Rosslyn station on the Blue/Orange/Silver Lines and Dupont Circle station on the Red Line. GUTS Bus shuttle service is provided to/from these Metro stations to campus.

  • Metrorail (Subway) Metro Stations  closest to Georgetown University are Dupont Circle station (Red Line) located at 20th & Q Streets, N.W. and the Rosslyn station (Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines) located just across the Key Bridge in Rosslyn, Virginia, with entrances at North Moore Street & Wilson Blvd., and on Fort Myer Drive between 19th Street & Wilson Blvd).
