Accelerated Degree Programs

Certain Georgetown University undergraduate students may apply to participate in a special five-year program in which they will can earn their undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree in five years. Approval for application to an accelerated program is obtained through the appropriate undergraduate advising dean or school dean’s office. Submission of the Graduate School application and corresponding application materials are required for students seeking the five-year accelerated degree. Interested students must apply in their junior year, in order to begin the master’s program in their senior year.
NB: Only coursework 350 or above taken once the student has been admitted to the accelerated program is eligible for graduate credit toward the master’s degree. Students should consult with their advising dean on which courses are eligible for graduate credit prior to registration.
