The Brookings Institution

The following programs are currently accepting applications for the 2005-06:

  • Research Fellowships in Foreign Policy Studies support policy-oriented doctoral research in foreign policy.  Applicants must be nominated by their departments before receiving an application.  The fellowships carry a stipend of $20,500, payable on a twelve-month basis, for eleven months of research in residence at Brookings and one month of vacation.  Deadline:  letter of nomination due by TBA; application by TBA.

  • Governance Studies Pre-doctoral Fellowships support policy-oriented pre-doctoral research in Governance Studies.  These fellowships are designed for doctoral candidates whose dissertation topics are directly related to the study of public policy and political institutions.  Departments should nominate no more than two persons, who should have completed the preliminary examinations for the doctorate not later than February 15, 2007.  The fellowships carry a stipend of $20,500, payable on a twelve-month basis, for eleven months of research in residence at Brookings and one month of vacation.  Deadline:  letter of nomination due by TBA; application by TBA.
