  • Meet your deadline for enrollment confirmation. This deadline is found in your official admissions letter.

⇒ Outstanding Conditions of Admission
(for students who received a conditional letter of admission)

  • Submit outstanding documents (as detailed in the admissions letter) to the Office of Graduate Admissions, c/o Ms. Karin Cerniglia.
  • Call or e-mail the Office of Graduate Admissions with any questions about your admission status  (telephone: 202-687-5804 or e-mail: gradmail@georgetown.edu).
  • Contact your department regarding department conditions of admission. These conditions will be sent to you directly from your department, and you will need to fulfill the conditions prior to matriculation. Please contact your department or program if you have questions about department conditions.

⇒ Net ID Information

  • NetIDs are a unique identified and password combination that allows you to access campus services.  NetIDs are assigned by the Registrar's office to each Georgetown student upon confirming their acceptance.
  • Access campus services such as online registration and your student record using this ID. You will receive the ID after you have completed the enrollment confirmation process.
  • Go to the University's webpage "NetID FAQs" for more information on NetID Services.

⇒ Registration

  • Register online or in person, depending on your program requirements. Some programs register students in advance prior to matriculation.
  • Seek guidance from your program advisor as a first step. Contact your department for advising and registration information.
  • Consult the Georgetown University academic calendar, class schedule, and Graduate School online catalogue.
  • Pay your tuition and fees after receiving a bill from Student Accounts prior to matriculation. Instructions on payment for full time and part time enrollment will be provided; however, questions may be directed to Student Accounts.
  • You will complete registration primarily online after meeting with your program advisor; however, graduate students may also register in person at the Registrar's Office (located in the White-Gravenor building, basement level, just off Red Square). Helpful information regarding registration policies and procedures can be found in the Graduate Bulletin.

  • If you have not done so already, download the International Student Immigration Questionnaire for graduate students.  All incoming international students (including U.S. permanent residents) are required to fill out this form and return it as soon as possible.  Please read all instructions carefully and submit the form and any supporting documentation to the Office of International Programs (the exact address can be found on the Immigration Questionnaire).
  • For questions and information regarding visas, immigration, and special mandatory orientation sessions, please visit the Office of International Programs website.
  • Once the completed Immigration Questionnaire and appropriate financial documentation are received, your I-20 will be issued and mailed to you.
