Students applying for graduation for July through January must file an application for degree through MyAccess (found at: https://myaccess.georgetown.edu/pls/bninbp/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin)by the first working day of the month in which they wish to receive the degree. Students will then be given until the last working day of the month to meet all degree requirements.
Students who wish to apply to graduate in February, March, April or May, must file an application for degree through MyAccess (found at: https://myaccess.georgetown.edu/pls/bninbp/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin) no later than the last day of the Add/Drop period in January. Those who do not do so will not have their names in the Commencement program book and their diplomas will not be available at the Commencement Ceremony in May.
Students applying for graduation in February, March and April will then be given until the last working day of the month to meet all degree requirements.
Students applying for graduation in May must submit their thesis or dissertation (if required to complete degree requirements) with faculty approval and be accepted by the Graduate School no later than the first working day of May. All other degree requirements must be met by the last Friday preceding Commencement.
Students who do not meet all requirements by the last working day of the month will have their applications carried over to the following month. An application will be held open for a total of three months, including the first month for which the student applied. If the student has not graduated by the end of that time, he or she must file a new application.
