Society of Fellows in the Humanities
- Postdoctoral Fellowships: The Columbia Society of Fellows in the Humanities seeks to enhance the role of the humanities in the University by exploring and clarifying the interrelationships within the humanities as well as their relationship to the natural and social sciences and the several professions. The Society will appoint a number of postdoctoral fellows in the humanities each academic year. For 2009-10, the stipend will be $55,000, one half for independent research and one half for teaching in the undergraduate program in general education. An additional $4,000 is available to support research. Deadline: application and materials due by October 6, 2008
Institute for Comparative Literature and Society
- Postdoctoral Fellowship: The Institute houses Columbia's prestigious graduate and undergraduate programs in Comparative Literature and Society. Its main purpose is to rethink comparative literary and cultural studies in their relation to area studies and the historically oriented social sciences. Accordingly, we encourage applications from a wide variety of humanties and social sciences disciplines. Deadline: application and materials due by TBA
