Consortium for Faculty Diversity in Liberal Arts Colleges 
    Fellowship Programs

The Consortium for Faculty Diverstiy in Liberal Arts Colleges at DePauw University is currently accepting applications for the following residential fellowship competitions:

  • Dissertation Fellowship Program:  Intended for scholars who have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. or the M.F.A. except the dissertations; this fellowship program is intended for scholars in the final stage of their dissertations and aims, above all, to help the fellow complete the final requirements for the degree during the year of residency. Each host institution provides a salary for the CFD Fellow commensurate with the salary of a full-time visitng faculty member with comparable qualificatoins. Modest funds will be made available to finance proposed research, subject to the usual institutional procedures. Scholars will be expected to teach one semester course (or the quivalent), to participate in functions such as departmental seminars, and to interact regularly with students.

  • Postdoctoral Fellowship Program:  This fellowship is intended for scholars who have been awarded the Ph.D. or M.F.A. no later than the beginning of the fellowshlip year and within the past five years; each host institution provides a salary for the CFD Fellow commensurate with the salary of a full-time visiting faculty member with comparable qualifications.  This fellowship program provides compensation based on the average starting salary paid by the host college to beginning assistant professors. Modest funds will be made available to finance proposed research, subject to usual institutional procedures. The scholar will be expected to teach one course in each academic term of residency, to participate in departmental seminars, and to interact with students.

Applications are invited in all disciplines of the liberal arts and engineering.  Recipients must be citizens of the United States and should have no more than five years of teaching or relevant experience before holding a fellowship.  Additional information regarding either program may be found on the CFD web site
