The CES at Columbia University offers the following funding opportunities:

• Fellowships:  pre-dissertation funding available to support young scholars' first major research projects in Europe.  Fellowship includes:  1) a two-month stay abroad to conduct original archive and field research; 2) participation at the CES international conference, where they present their findings and receive feedback from senior scholars; and 3) publication of fellows' research reports in European Studies Forum, the CES journal.  For additional information regarding the program and application requirements, please refer to the program description and FAQ's on the program web site.  Deadline:  application due by February 1, 2008
