Arrival on Campus

Upon arrival on the Georgetown University campus, Visiting Researchers must meet with Ms. Stacey Huggins to begin the Registration process.  Registration is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between the hours of 9:30am and 12:00 noon.  After registration, Researchers will be directed to GOCARD Services  (Darnall Hall Room G-3) to obtain an identification card.  There is no charge for your ID card. However, there is a $25 fee to replace the card if lost.

Non-U.S Researchers must attend orientation on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Office of International Programs or meet with Ms. Kate Billings, International Scholar Advisor and Assistant Director, as soon as possible after arriving.  In order for Visiting Researchers in J-1 visa status to remain legally in the U.S., OIP must confirm their arrival with the INS within 30 days of entry to the U.S.
