Information Sessions

In addition to the information on our website, prospective students can participate in several different kinds of information sessions to learn more about the admissions process and the graduate programs offered at Georgetown.

On-campus Information Sessions

These sessions are typically offered every other Friday during the months of April through December. The on-campus visit consists of a presentation and a campus tour conducted by a graduate admissions officer. This is a great opportunity to see the university, learn more about our programs and application process and as well as graduate student life.

Sessions, which last approximately 60 minutes, begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Car Barn, which is located at 3520 Prospect St., in the Graduate School Conference Room located on the fourth floor.

When you enter the Car Barn, you will be on the fourth floor. Turn left when you enter and proceed through the building and past the elevator and exit onto the patio through the back doors. Continue across the patio and enter the Graduate School through the next set of doors. The Conference Room is located to the left at the very end of the hallway.

Graduate School Fairs

Another way to meet with an admissions officer and gain valuable information about a graduate school program of interest as well as the application process is to attend a graduate school fair. Attendees also frequently have the opportunity to talk with current students, alumni and faculty.

We are currently working on our Fall 2013 travel schedule.  Please check back this Summer for a list of Graduate School Fairs we will attend in the Fall. 

Online Sessions

The Graduate School also periodically hosts online chat sessions.

These informal exchanges offer an easy and interactive way to ask questions about the application process, our academic programs, being a student at Georgetown or other topics of interest to prospective students and applicants.
