In addition to the information on our website, prospective students can participate in several different kinds of information sessions to learn more about the admissions process and the graduate programs offered at Georgetown.
On-campus Information Sessions
These sessions are typically offered every other week from April through November. The on-campus visit consists of a presentation and a campus tour conducted by a graduate admissions officer. This is a great opportunity to see the university, learn more about our programs and application process and as well as graduate student life.
Sessions, which last approximately 75 minutes, are held in the Car Barn, which is located at 3520 Prospect St., in the Graduate School Conference Room located on the fourth floor.
When you enter the Car Barn, you will be on the fourth floor. Turn left when you enter and proceed through the building and past the elevator and exit onto the patio through the back doors. Continue across the patio and enter the Graduate School through the next set of doors. The Conference Room is located to the left at the very end of the hallway.
On-campus information sessions have concluded for the season. We will post new sessions in spring, 2016. There will be online, webinar-style sessions occasionally in the winter. Please see the schedule below to register for a webinar.
If you cannot attend an on-campus session or if sessions have concluded for the season, consider attending a webinar. The webinar will cover the same content as an on-campus session: background about Georgetown, the application process, financial aid, and some discussion of student life. Webinars will last about 30 minutes, with a 20-25 minute presentation followed by questions. (Due to technical limitations, these sessions are capped at 120 attendees.)
There are no webinars scheduled at this time. Please check again soon.
The Graduate School also periodically hosts online chat sessions.
These informal exchanges offer an easy and interactive way to ask questions about the application process, our academic programs, being a student at Georgetown or other topics of interest to prospective students and applicants.
